Fun Fact of the Day:
Jeremy Guthrie became only the second pitcher in history today to allow 11+ earned runs in one inning of work or less. Considering that Guthrie has been pitching like a true veteran the last year or so, including help lead KC to the Series, this outing was very unlike Jeremy. Sure every pitcher has a bad outing here or there, but this was so horrendous that it made the history books. Those runs came in the first and second innings, so it was too early for Ned Yost to pull him, but it just got worse.
