In 2012, Josh Hamilton had a monstrous first half of the season, which resulted in all-star game voting history. He received a total of 11,073,744 votes from baseball fans. When he finally got his act together and re-emerged as a top prospect in 2007, many people praised his efforts and talents; considering he was one of the best prospects of all-time. A couple of Millions of votes for one player is not exactly rare, but 11 million + is another level, as the second most votes in all-star history was Chris Davis in 2013 with 8+ million. When Hamilton was in his prime with Texas from 2008-2012, he was arguably the face of the MLB.
