Story: On Tuesday the 27th, the Marlins made the signing of Ichiro Suzuki official. Sure this is not big news, but it could turn into huge news by the year’s end. Ichiro is currently sitting on 2844 career MLB hits and 487 total stolen bases. If Ichiro can stay healthy for the whole season in Miami and play well, he could very well become the 29th member of the 3000 hit club and the 38th player to steal at least 500 bags throughout a major league career. The Milwaukee Brewers started off hot last season with a record of 19-8 in April, and then went on to hold first place in the NL Central for most of the season until mid-August when they started to collapse. A lot of analysts and fans started to claim that the Brewers failed attempt to run away with the division was just a fluke, but considering the talent on the roster, their history the past 4 years, and having a great manager, the Brewers’ success, prior to the collapse, was no fluke. The Cleveland Indians have only been to the playoffs twice since they won the AL Central in 1997, and haven’t won a World Series in 66 years. Unlike the Cubs though, the Indians have had several talented teams since, but maybe they have not won it again because they did not have the right star player/leader to lift the Indians to glory. The Interesting Case of the Rangers Starting Rotation

Ever since CJ Wilson left as a free agent on a big contract to the Angels after the 2011 season, the Rangers starting rotation has not had its for say, “the sparkle”, that it did when their ace Wilson lead them to back-to-back WS appearances in 2010 and 2011. Despite the adding of Yu Darvish immediately after the loss of Wilson, the rotation has not found it’s way back to dominance. The other issue the rotation has had, is injuries.
