The Tiger, D-Backs, and Yanks are at it Again

Last offseason the D-backs, Yankees, and Tigers completed a three-way trade, and now a year later they do it again. This time the trade went down like this: Yankees acquire Didi Gregorious, Tigers acquire Shane Greene, and the D-backs get the worst of it in Robbie Ray and an infield prospect. Breaking down this trade: Yankees Going into 2014 the starting rotation looked like this: 1. Tanaka, 2. CC, 3. Kuroda, 4. Ivan Nova, and 5. Michael Pineda. The Other Billy Hamilton

Fun Fact of the Day: Whenever the name Billy Hamilton is said, the first thing that is thought of is: oh he is the speedy youngster on the Reds. True, but 102 years before Billy was even born there was another Billy Hamilton who in 1888 ran (and I mean sprinted) into the American Association and later the National League. He finished his 14 year hall of fame career with 2164 hits, 1697 runs, a .344 batting average, and 914 SB. If you thought Billy of the Reds was fast, well Billy was faster.

Mets this Offseason……are they ready/trying to contend?

The New York Mets began this offseason with a splash that almost went unrecognized. That move was the signing of Michael Cuddyer for 2 years with a payout of $21 million. Considering they desperately needed an outfielder, they got a pretty good one. Now they have filled the hole in the outfield as long as everybody stays healthy out there. Moving onto the infield.
