Tanaka Out Again

Well, it has happened. The worries of Masahiro Tanaka’s severe injury from 2014 hurting his career have become reality. According the Brian Cashman, the Yankees’ ace will most likely take up to a month to return to the big league rotation, as he deals heals from a slight forearm strain. Fortunately though, there are no changes in Tanaka’s bad elbow, which dampened his rookie MLB campaign. KC Locks up Future Ace Just Like other Stars

On Saturday April 4, 2015, the Kansas City Royals agreed on a contract extension with their young 23-year-old ace pitcher, Yordano Ventura, on a 5-year deal. Ventura will get paid $23 million over the next 5 seasons. At the earliest the star pitcher can become a free agent in 2020, while this new deal makes sure that his arbitration years (2017-2019) will be avoided. In addition, the new contract includes a club option for the sixth year.
