The Baltimore Orioles hardly made any big offseason transactions, after losing Nick Markakis and Nelson Cruz in free agency, so that raises the question of why no big acquisitions to fill those two holes. So far through 9 games in Spring Training, after serving a yearlong suspension, Alex Rodriguez is batting .300 with a homer and 2 RBI’s in Spring games. He looks pretty lose with the glove as well. The big surprise is that one would think that after not playing the game for a long time, A-rod would be anxious to swing the bat, thus resulting in strikeouts, but it hasn’t. Rangers Hopes of a Healthy 2015 Season Dies

Spring Training has just started and the Rangers are already hurt, but this time it doesn’t hit their offense. According to multiple reports, ace pitcher, Yu Darvish, underwent an MRI that showed a sprained ligament in his throwing elbow. A second opinion will be given out this weekend, but most likely Tommy John Surgery will be needed, that obviously puts Darvish out for the season.
