ALDS Preview/Prediction

New York Yankees (91-71) vs Cleveland Indians (102-60) Yankees key to winning: No Kluber in game 1 and its a five game series. Sonny Gray needs to go 7 innings and shut down Yankees to get the edge in the series. National League Wild Card Prediction

Colorado Rockies (87-75) (Jon Gray) vs Arizona Diamondbacks (93-69) (Zack Greinke) Rockies key to winning: Gray can’t let up more than 2 runs in 5 innings. Their bullpen is their strength. If they can hand the game off to the pen within 2 runs, its an even game. There is a good chance this could be a lopsided game favoring the D-backs, so Colorado is going to need to keep their composure. With some sneaky speed in the lineup, stolen bases may be key to every run. D-backs key to winning: Got to pounce early then let the crowd take Continue reading National League Wild Card Prediction

American League Wild Card Preview/Prediction

Wild Card Minnesota Twins (85-77) (Ervin Santana) vs New York Yankees (91-71) (Luis Severino) Twins key to winning: Ervin Santana. He led the league in complete games and shutouts. However, he allowed 31 home runs in regular season, which is not good considering the game is in Yankee Stadium vs guys like Aaron Judge. But, his pitching repertoire and experience should give him the edge vs the young Severino. With the bullpen being very weak, veterans like Mauer and Dozier are going to need to come up with some big hits against the Yankees pen. Yankees key to winning: Get Continue reading American League Wild Card Preview/Prediction
