Hooker Field, an Interesting Summer Ball Stadium
The first thing that is noticeable at the home of the Martinsville Mustangs of the Coastal Plain League (Summer ball short-season) is that the infield is astroturf, while the outfield is natural grass; a rare, yet interesting combination. Walking into the main entrance, the fans walk down steps into the seating area, just the way baseball stadiums should be designed. However, overall the layout is a little too complex. The complexity of the layout does make Hooker Field unique, however.
