Roberto Clemente was not only a legend on the field, but off the field as well. He was not only the best player all around in right field, but he was all class in the locker room. Fun Fact of the Day: As of right now the Royals have players leading in all-star votes at C, 1B, 3B, SS, LF, and RF. It may be due to their cinderella story in 2014, but despite most of them being deserving of the starting role at the Great American Ballpark in July this year, the voting seems to be pretty bias. Going into the 2014 season the Yankees were expected to win the AL East and potentially reach the Fall Classic due to signing Brian McCann, Jacoby Ellsbury, Carlos Beltran, and Masahiro Tanaka; but injuries left them hobbling to 84 wins. So, after a fairly quiet offseason, including Derek Jeter retiring, the expectations were not that high for them in the 2015 campaign, yet here they are in June sitting atop the AL East. Why? Fun Fact of the Day: On Tuesday June 2, 2015, Albert Pujols hit his 534th career home run, tying Jimmie Foxx for 17th on the all-time list. But, the strange thing is, that he did it in the same exact number of at bats as Double X did.
