Fun Fact of the Day: Some may like to say that some numbers are very lucky, but no one will ever know how lucky anything is or what the odds are. Truthfully, things just happen. Well something magical must have been going on in 1963 because ironically both Elston Howard (AL MVP), Sandy Koufax (NL MVP), and Jim Brown (NFL MVP) all wore the number 32 on their jerseys while winning the most prestigious award. No offense to Philly being such an historical city, it is not the best looking or smelling city, and it’s baseball team is the worst in the MLB, but there is at least one shining spot besides the Liberty Bell. Citizens Bank Park, home of the Phillies, is one of the most underrated baseball venues in the game today. Fun Fact of the Day: Back on Wednesday the 27th, Matt Holliday hit a single in the 5th inning of a game against the D-Backs, which was the 43rd game in a row this season that he reached base safely. With that he passed Albert Pujols’ record of most consecutive games to start a season for reaching base in the National League.
